Associate Spotlight: Anthony Navarrete, Tax Credit Business Manager

Associate Spotlight: Anthony Navarrete, Tax Credit Business Manager

Catholic Education Arizona and the life-changing scholarships it provides are made possible by the dedicated and committed members of the Dream Team. Anthony Navarrete plays a pivotal role in making these scholarships possible.

As Tax Credit Business Manager, Anthony cultivates relationships with businesses and contributors, guiding them through the Arizona tax credit contribution process to maximize scholarship funding for Arizona families. “Working at Catholic Education Arizona is an opportunity to make a very real and direct impact in people’s lives,” he said. “Each day, I’m motivated by knowing that our work helps remove financial barriers and opens doors for families and their children that might otherwise remain closed.”

Anthony brings a unique and authentic perspective to this work. A proud father of children currently attending Catholic grade school, he understands firsthand the lifelong value of a faith-based education. He is also fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing him to genuinely connect with a broader and more diverse community.

“The true value of a Catholic education goes far beyond academics. It forms the whole person—intellectually, spiritually, and morally.” He continued: “A Catholic education instills a strong foundation of faith, character, discipline, and service to others. Students are not only prepared for success in their careers, but also guided to live with purpose, integrity, and compassion.” This commitment is reflected in the students of the Diocese of Phoenix Catholic Schools, who show incredible results:

  • 99% graduation rate
  • 96% matriculate to higher education, trade school, or enter military service
  • 1000s of hours of community service conducted annually

Growing up, Anthony was blessed to be raised in a Catholic home. “Being raised Catholic has shaped both who I am and how I approach my work,” he shared. “It provided me with a sense of responsibility, a commitment to excellence, and an understanding of the importance of serving others. These values continue to influence how I engage professionally and personally, and they are a constant reminder of the kind of impact a strong educational and faith-based foundation can have.”

For Anthony, the mission is personal. He has witnessed students grow in confidence, discover their potential, and pursue paths that once felt out of reach. “For many families, these scholarships bring hope and a renewed sense of possibility.”

Arizona taxpayers and corporations can bring this hope to families. There are three ways to create future leaders with Catholic Education Arizona:

  • Arizona Individual Tax Credit
  • Arizona Low-Income Corporate and Disabled/Displaced Corporate Tax Credits
  • Traditional donations and legacy gifts

“It’s a privilege to be part of work that truly changes lives, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute in even a small way,” Anthony said. “There is still so much need, but also so much opportunity to make a lasting difference.” To learn how you can create scholarships for underserved children in just minutes, connect with Anthony at anavarrete@ceaz.org or call (602) 218-6542.
