Since 1998, Catholic Education Arizona has provided critical tuition scholarships for underserved students to change lives, serve society, and transform culture. Pamela Gray, a seasoned philanthropic leader, is excited that Changing Lives with Legacy, the philanthropic division, has been added to enhance the mission of providing students with tuition scholarships and to offer even more funding options through charitable donations.

Pamela is deeply committed to expanding access to Catholic education and the life-changing opportunities it creates for students and families. “Catholic education maximizes each student’s potential by building a strong foundation of faith, values, and a love of learning—shaping well-rounded individuals and opening the door to a future filled with possibility,” Pamela said.

That belief is what drives her work every day.

Her passion is also personal. Growing up in a military family, Pamela experienced frequent moves and attended schools in a wide range of districts, many of which lacked consistent quality. “I wasn’t always in strong school systems, but I was fortunate to be placed in gifted and AP programs that challenged me and helped me grow,” she said. It was that experience that showed Pamela the value of quality education. “I would have loved the opportunity to attend a school rooted in faith, values, and community—one that intentionally develops both academic and life skills.” 

Today, she channels that perspective into her work with donors.

“I love meeting with donors because it’s about connection,” she said. “I enjoy learning what matters most to them and helping align their passions with opportunities that create real impact. It’s incredibly fulfilling to see someone connect deeply with a cause and realize the difference they can make in a student’s life.” Each donor is truly changing lives.

“The skills developed through friendships, respect for teachers and administrators, time management, participation in sports, and perseverance through challenging coursework create a roadmap for students; one that leads to a future without limits,” she said. The quality Catholic education at the Diocese of Phoenix Catholic Schools produces incredible results:

  • 99% graduation rate  
  • 96% matriculate to higher education, trade school, or enter military service  
  • 1000s of hours of community service conducted annually  

Through her work with Changing Lives with Legacy, she helps donors explore meaningful ways to give, ensuring more students have access to the education they deserve. The philanthropic division accepts traditional donations and legacy gifts, such as:
