I have been with Catholic Education Arizona since July of 2019 and serve as the organization’s Controller.  I am responsible for the accounting functions of the organization as well as handing payroll and H/R duties.  Before joining CEA, I worked in various business sectors including retail & wholesales sales, construction, public relations & advertising and not for profit as a corporate Controller and bring many years of accounting and financial management experience to the organization.

I am a native of Arizona and grew up on the Navajo Indian Reservation.  I went to grade school through junior high in Kayenta, Arizona, and then attended Thunderbird Adventist Academy in Scottsdale, Arizona, for high school.  I attended my freshman and sophomore years in college at Yavapai College in Prescott and eventually transferred to Arizona State University where I earned my BS in Accounting from Arizona State University.  Several years later I went back to school and earned my MS in Accounting from Grand Canyon University.

I have been married to my husband, Kelly, for 34 years and we share our home with five furry family members.  I enjoy serving at my church where I currently serve as Treasurer and have also served as the Director of the Community Outreach Ministry for seven years.  I am very passionate about outreach ministries and I am very thankful to have found a position at CEA where I can combine my passion of serving others in need and utilizing my accounting and financial management skills.   When I am not busy at work or with my church duties, I enjoy cooking, hiking, fishing, reading John Grisham novels, traveling the world and spending time with my husband and friends.

My faith in God has been the source of so much strength that I could not have found on my own when faced with the challenges I have had in my life.  Without God’s love and His grace, I would be nothing.  Knowing He is always with me, I can face anything.

My favorite quotes are “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.” ― Mother Teresa and “Peace begins with a smile.” ― Mother Teresa.
