Approximately half of the scholarships that fund student tuition in the Catholic schools in the Diocese of Phoenix through CEA come from the Corporate Low Income Tax Credit.  The 130+ companies that contribute to the Corporate Tax Credit (CTC) provide the opportunity for students who may not otherwise have the chance to receive a quality Catholic education to attend the school of their choice.

This year, CEA has partnered with a number of schools to boost participation in CTC to support the students in these schools and in the General Scholarship Fund, which assists schools with unmet need.

On May 25th, CEA will host a Corporate Breakfast at St. Matthew Catholic School to garner support from Phoenix businesses that believe in providing families with the choice of a quality Catholic education.  Attendees will learn about the Low-Income and Disabled/Displaced Corporate Tax Credits, eligibility requirements, the application and approval process and deadlines involved, and next steps to become a corporate partner with Catholic Education Arizona.  This breakfast, which is co-sponsored by the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, will run from 8:00 am to 9:00 am at St. Matthew’s.  Anyone interested in attending or learning more should contact Chris Lorello at clorello@ceaz.org or 602-218-6542.

CEA has hosted a number of corporate breakfasts this year to support schools interested in participating as a way to try to raise support from local businesses through scholarship dollars that will support the students.  Corporate partners can designate a specific school, split their contribution between designated schools, or contribute to the families most in need through the General Scholarship Fund.

This year, host schools have consisted of:

  • John Paul II Catholic School
  • Bourgade Catholic High School
  • Seton Catholic High School
  • Sacred Heart Catholic School (Prescott)
  • Immaculate Conception Catholic School (Cottonwood)
  • San Francisco de Asis Catholic School (Flagstaff)
  • Gregory Catholic School
  • Timothy Catholic School

Community business leaders and our corporate partners, GCU, APS, BBVA, Earnhardt Auto Centers, Fasturtle Digital, Cigna and many local businesses are changing lives and building communities! CEA looks forward to hosting more corporate breakfasts with our schools throughout the year and meeting more potential corporate partners.
