Prior to law school, Kristin received a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, Magna Cum Laude from Arizona State University. Her degree provided the strong foundation to represent her clients at the local, state and federal level, as well as the not-for-profit sector. This type of educational background has provided Kristin with an understanding of how to approach many of the client situations encountered in her practice today.
Why did your corporation decide to work with CEA through the Low-Income Corporate Tax Credit program?
CEA is a wonderful organization that helps so many of Arizona’s children and families. Helping them help others is what we should do as a society, and supporting an organization that has such a broad reach is something we can all feel good about.
Not only does your personal business participate, but you encourage your clients to take advantage of tax credits. What drives you to do that?
I have found that not many people are aware of Arizona’s Tax Credit programs. These programs are an excellent way for individuals to direct their tax dollars and feel good about paying towards their tax liability.
During this difficult time period, what advice are you giving your clients regarding tax credits?
This is a time to remember that we are all in this together. Arizona Tax Credits help so many families in our great State. While I understand that some may not be able to do the amounts they have done in the past during this difficult time, I hope that they will still be able to take advantage of the Arizona Tax Credit program, by directing their tax dollars to help others, which may result in a dollar for dollar tax credit on their Arizona return.
