What impact did Catholic education have on your life and career goals?

I attended 12 years of Catholic school on the South Side of Chicago including 4 years at a seminary high school (Quigley South). The rigor, discipline, and caring teachers that taught me during that time are probably some of the most positive influences in my life. They gave me an appreciation for the importance of education and I quite frankly don’t think I’d be the same person without them.

Why do you partner with Catholic Education Arizona?

Catholic education has become far more expensive that it used to be when I attended school. I don’t believe that it should be available only to the wealthiest individuals that can afford it. I hope that my contribution helps pay for others who would not otherwise be able to afford it.

What sets your business apart from other similar businesses in our community?

I have been a licensed patent, trademark, and copyright lawyer for 28 years and bring a wealth of experience in my area of law. But I am also someone who cares about every client that I represent, and I take the time to get to know each client even if they are not local to the Phoenix area. It’s important to me and it has helped my business as all my clients are obtained through referrals.

Before attending law school, I worked as a design and applications engineer in the Semiconductor Product Sector of Motorola, Inc., Digital Equipment Corporation, and at US West Communications (now Century Link) in Phoenix, Arizona. While working as an engineer at Motorola, I also worked in their corporate patent department.

I am an avid cyclist, a jazz guitarist, and diehard fan of both my alma mater ASU’s sports teams and Chicago’s sports teams (not the Cubs).
