Scottsdale’s Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish Celebrates 90 Years of Legacy in October’s Double Anniversary Month!

Congratulations to Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPH) Parish in Scottsdale for their Double Anniversary Month! This October, they are celebrating the 90th anniversary of the Old Adobe Mission, the Mother Church and first Catholic Church in Scottsdale, and the 75th Anniversary of the current OLPH Catholic Parish.

Since 1933, the Old Adobe Mission has served as a cherished, historic location as it is the first and the longest-standing parish in Scottsdale. After 90 years, the building still stands as one of the most historic places in Arizona.

Located in Old Town Scottsdale, the current parish was established on October 8, 1948, making this October its 75th anniversary, an especially poignant time for reflection and celebration.
The festivities to mark this remarkable milestone will span two distinct events:

Parish Anniversary Celebration – Sunday, October 8, 2023

On October 8, 2023, OLPH Scottsdale will commence its celebratory journey with a special mass at 11 a.m. All parishioners are invited to participate in this heartfelt service, followed by a joyous reception. It is an occasion to come together in unity, express gratitude for the past, and look forward to a bright future!

OLPH Scottsdale has extended a warm welcome to all the priests who have played a part in the parish’s history to join in this momentous celebration. Their presence will be a testament to the enduring spirit of the parish and its deep-rooted connections.

Old Adobe Mission Open House and Anniversary Mass – Sunday, October 15, 2023

On October 15, 2023, the Old Adobe Mission will open its doors to the community for a special open house, inviting everyone to explore its rich history from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. Discover the architectural marvel, relish its historical significance, and bask in the warm sense of community that has thrived within its walls for nearly a century.
Following the open house, an Anniversary Mass will be held, reaffirming OLPH Scottsdale’s commitment to its enduring values and traditions.
