“I have been with Catholic Education Arizona for two years. Catholic Education has always been a passion of mine! My parents, Pat and Mike Gorman, were products of Catholic schools. They sacrificed to send their four daughters to Catholic schools. I attended St. Joseph’s School in Moorhead, Minnesota, as well as St. Lambert’s School in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Jeff and I sent our daughters to Catholic schools in the Diocese of Phoenix, including OLPH Scottsdale, St. Thomas the Apostle, and Xavier College Preparatory. Our two year old twin grandchildren, Quinn and Charlie Gryp, are slated to attend pre-school at St. Theresa’s in the future. It is a Gryp family tradition!
I am so blessed to have the title of Advancement – Parish Liaison at CEA. My role as Parish Liaison is to establish a relationship with pastors, and set up a CEA weekend at their parish. After speaking at Masses, we stay to answer questions and assist people in the process of understanding the tax credit. It is a tremendous opportunity for CEA to be highlighted at a parish. We are honored to be a special guest. I love learning about each parish. Each has its own unique culture. I am always proud to be Catholic. With that being said, I just beam with pride at students in our Catholic Schools. So many parents surrender in extraordinary ways to send children to Catholic Schools. It can seem daunting at times trying to pay tuition. It is so rewarding to work for an organization that is trying to ease the financial burden for families. I believe when children are in a Catholic School, with the values that are reinforced every day, it truly will transform our culture. At CEA, we are changing lives one scholarship at a time. I am honored to play a small role in our purpose.”
