April is here, and we find ourselves living and working differently than ever before. What once was our “normal” has changed to a way of life that we would have strived for before: being at home more than at work, having quality time with our loved ones, and slowing down our daily pace as opposed to surviving the “hustle and bustle” that living in a city like Phoenix commanded, until recently.
I find myself feeling a sense of gratefulness that during this time of uncertainty, for the everyday blessings we may normally take for granted:
- A roof over our heads
- Food on the table (could use paper towels and Clorox wipes)
- Loved ones that so far are healthy, and able to continue to educate and be educated
- A place to work that does so much good for others, and provides the technology needed to maintain operation remotely, keeping a healthy culture as its highest priority
- Dedicated colleagues that believe in the mission, and are willing to help one another through any situation
- A faith community that bands together during times of crisis for our spiritual family members
As we begin our last couple of weeks for the tax year 2019 Individual tax credits and keep striving to increase the Individual tax credit contributions for 2020, it is more important than ever to keep children in our Catholic schools, where even now, a quality, Catholic education is being provided.
Catholic Schools are not Federally funded, therefore they must use all resources creatively to meet the rising costs of educating students. Your tax credit can help thousands of students maintain their enrollment and keep the dream of quality education a reality.
We anticipate a large increase in the demonstrated need by our families, including those that previously may have had sufficient income to satisfy their tuition balances for the 20-21 school year. Please take your tax credit now for 2019 or 2020, and see if your contribution is able to be matched by your employer through our Matching Gift opportunity. Visit our website or call our office, and we can help you find out!
Finally, if you have not made your 2020 tax credit contribution, and want an easy, budget-friendly way to make it, call our office to set up monthly contributions. It’s quick, easy, and secure!
I wish you all a safe and healthy month of April, a Happy Easter, and remember that working together, we will get through this!
