Sacred Heart Catholic School is dedicated to serving children in grades pre-K-8 with a Catholic education promoting quality of character, spiritual growth, social responsibility, and academic excellence. At Sacred Heart Catholic School, small class sizes allow for the dedicated, differentiated teaching needed for optimal intellectual development harmonized with spiritual, religious, social, and emotional growth.

Students learn to become a living example of God’s love to others, developing an appreciation of their gifts and building responsible, compassionate, and trusting relationships.

Promoting spiritual growth

Sacred Heart Catholic School was established in 1878 by priests of the Claretian religious order who have led the Catholic parish in Prescott, AZ, for over 100 years. Led by Principal Shelly Cooper and Preschool Director Janice Richards, all curriculum and instruction in Sacred Heart Catholic School fosters students with a desire to seek wisdom and truth, the capacity for moral and ethical behavior, the responsibility to enrich and transform the world, and the inspiration to become self-directed learners.

Staff at Sacred Heart Catholic School are active in the evangelizing mission of the church and express Catholic education and culture through celebrations of Sacraments, faith traditions, and liturgies to share God’s love through the service of faith.

Distinguished by excellence

Sacred Heart Catholic School is renowned for its rigorous academic program designed to prepare students for the future. Structures and processes accentuate educational growth and excellence, and the school’s curriculum is based on the diocesan curriculum standards for core subjects and religion.

Approximately one in 10 Catholic teens attend a Catholic school, and students leave Sacred Heart prepared for high school honors classes. After school programs include choir, theatre, science, and robotics clubs.

Sacred Heart is home to the award-winning robotics team, the Cyber Panthers. Community is also important to students at Sacred Heart. Students contribute to the parish and the Prescott community during their time at the school through various community service opportunities.
