What impact did Catholic education have on your life and career goals?
Catholic education was something I was not able to attend as a student growing up. Still, I saw the difference in the education and the personal development of friends and family who participated in Catholic education. When my wife Farah and I were blessed to have a family of our own, I knew we wanted to give our children the gift of Catholic education. Not only have we seen a difference in the education of our children compared to public school, but Catholic education teaches the whole child academics, ethics, and spirituality. Every student does not have to be Catholic to attend or benefit from a Catholic education. Many of our friends have different spiritual beliefs and also participate in Catholic schools. This provides the framework for our children outside the home that there is more than just academics and provides them with the foundations in spirituality to guide and support them through their young journeys. As parents, we can’t be everywhere all the time, but through spiritual environments and teachings received at Catholic schools, we know our children have been given the tools to help them throughout their lives. Farah and I have had the opportunity to receive assistance from Catholic Education Arizona early on in my career, and I know that this has truly benefited my family and my children as they went through K-12 and beyond.
Why do you partner with Catholic Education Arizona?
I believe in the mission to make it possible for underserved families in Arizona to provide a quality Catholic education for their children. As a recipient and now a contributor, I believe Catholic education should be free to whoever would like it, and I think with the support of tax credit programs, this is indeed possible.
What sets your business apart from other similar businesses in our community?
Fasturtle is a small digital marketing firm established in 2000 offering website design and internet marketing. What sets us apart is that we care about the success of our clients and support them and their families with their vision and missions.
