Parents want the highest quality education possible for their children, which is why one in every 10 Catholic teens in the U.S. attend a private Catholic school. Approximately 99% of students who attend Catholic high schools graduate and 86% go on to attend four-year colleges. Of course, it can be difficult for families to send their children to private schools when they may not have the financial means to do so.

Fortunately, Catholic Education Arizona makes it possible for families with disabled and displaced children to receive a Catholic education. Disabled and displaced students qualify for the corporate tax credit program for Arizona Catholic private school students. With assistance from tuition tax credits, students can receive a Catholic education in a safe and welcoming environment.

How does the corporate tax credit program work?

Disabled and displaced students are able to receive assistance for their Catholic schools through Credit 341 or Corporate Contribution to School Tuition Organizations for Displaced Students or Students with Disabilities. The funds collected through Credit 431 via directed tuition tax credits are distributed to students with a MET, IEP, 504 plan, or to students that have been in the Arizona foster care system.

Catholic Education Arizona partners with large companies such as Earnhardt Auto Centers, BBVA, GCU, APS, and Sprouts. Additionally, small firms such as dentists, general contractors, and attorneys are corporate partners as well. Both large companies and small firms alike may direct tuition tax credits to Catholic Education Arizona to support students attending Catholic schools and can opt to participate in either the Corporate Low Income Tax Credit Scholarship Program, the Disabled/Displaced Scholarship program or both.

Because of Arizona’s private education tax credit, individuals and corporations can choose what their tax dollars support. That includes supporting Catholic education opportunities for underserved students.
