At Catholic Education Arizona, we believe tax credits are a powerful opportunity to support students. This program allows you to redirect your state taxes to fund scholarships for underserved children, helping them access quality education in Catholic schools across the Diocese of Phoenix.
Unlocking the Arizona Education Tax Credits
Catholic Education Arizona is proud to facilitate the Arizona education tax credits, a program under Arizona law (ARS 43-1089) that lets you redirect your state tax liability dollar-for-dollar to support students. Since our founding in 1998, we’ve awarded over 153,000 scholarships worth more than $363 million, transforming lives through education. This opportunity is open to everyone who pays Az taxes—whether you’re single, married, have or don’t have children in private schools.
Participating is simple and meaningful. You can use our secure online portal, mail your contribution, or call us at 602-218-6542. Whether you support our General Scholarship Fund for schools with the highest unmet need or choose a specific Catholic school, Catholic Education Arizona ensures every dollar funds tuition for students with demonstrated need through an independent firm, FAIR. For more details, check the Arizona Department of Revenue.
Individual Tax Credits
Catholic Education Arizona makes it easy for taxpayers to participate in the Arizona education tax credit. Whether you’re a single or married filer, you can redirect up to $1,535 if single or $3,062 if married filing jointly for tax year 2025. Families use this credit to help students attend a Catholic school, knowing their contribution supports a 99% graduation rate and a faith-based education.
Look at your last year’s Arizona tax return—Line 48 on Form 140 or Line 58 on Form 140PY—to show how much you can redirect. Catholic Education Arizona’s website offers clear tools, and our team is here to guide you, ensuring your contribution fits your family’s budget and heart for helping others

Low-Income Corporate Tax Credits

If you own a C or S-Corp, LLC, or insurance company that pays Az premium tax, you can redirect 100% of your state tax liability to fund scholarships for low-income, disabled, or foster care students. Family businesses like the Romero Bakery have partnered with us to make a difference, blending tax savings with community impact.
