How has CEA helped make Catholic education attainable and affordable for your family?
As a Catholic school educator, I could not afford to send my children to our school of choice – a Catholic education. If we do not receive tax credit money, my daughters will automatically be transferred into the public school the next school year.
What does a Catholic education mean to you and your family?
I personally experience effective instruction, faith-based character developed in each child, and valuable relationships with the teachers and their students. I see the students coming from public schools and thriving on our Catholic education. This I want to be able to give my children as I give other families.
Why is this opportunity important to your family?
A solid, faith-based education is essential to living in today’s world. Our children are faced with many moral issues that are hard for them to discern where God is in all of this or if there is even a God. My responsibility as a parent is to get them to eternal life in heaven with Our Creator. Parents cannot do this alone in the way our society is saying they should live.
How would you thank those that have helped make your education possible through their state tax dollars and encourage them to continue to support Catholic Education?
One way is by reading the testimonial of how valuable the tax credit program is for the future of my and many families, who continuously apply each year. Of course, a written thank you is always appreciated. A valuable thank you for the donors who transfer their tax credit dollars would be knowing that I commit to my part as a parent to partner with the school that together we may bring a Catholic warrior into our society. Our future generation will provide good to our world by being a respectable citizen in and outside the Church.
