“Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime”. What is one of, if not the greatest gifts other than love that you can give your children, grandchildren, or any child? An Education!

Let me introduce you to Catholic Education Arizona (CEA). Their mission statement is:

How do they do this…by providing scholarships to underprivileged, disabled, and displaced students allowing them to attend a Catholic school that they probably wouldn’t go to without financial aid. This isn’t just for Catholic families. As a matter of fact, 30% of high school students are not Catholic.

“Catholic Schools have formed me into the woman, life-long learner, community member, and leader that I am today.” Itzxul Moreno said. She is an alumnus of Bourgade, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, and a recipient of a scholarship from Catholic Education Arizona. “My biggest fear is not being able to afford a Catholic education for my daughter. I am so grateful to CEA and everyone who makes this possible through their state tax dollars” said one of the parents whose child received a scholarship from Catholic Education Arizona.

These quotes are from only two out of the thousands of lives touched by Catholic Education Arizona over the last 25 years.

  • Catholic Education Arizona funds these scholarships primarily through Arizona tax credits from individuals and corporations
  • Since 1998, over $313 million has been raised an 148,000 scholarships awarded
  • 38 Diocese of Phoenix Catholic schools participate
  • 99.4% of kids graduated from Catholic Schools
  • 97% of graduates matriculate to higher education or military service
  • 1000s of hours of service hours are conducted annually
  • Corporations and LLCs filing as S Corps, C Corps, and insurance companies paying premium tax can direct up to 100% of their state tax liability to CEA.
  • Individuals can also redirect their Arizona state tax dollars

Find out how you too can help children get a great education and foundation for a fabulous life by going to www.ceaz.org or call them at (602) 218-6542. “Catholic Education is changing lives, one scholarship at a time!”

BTW, close friends of mine owe their success in life (not just business, but life) to an education provided by a Catholic school.
