How has CEA helped make Catholic education attainable and affordable for your family?

Since we have the scholarship, resources we had put aside for my child are helping us with other resources such as tutors, a desk, personal computer, and help online– all of these with the saved money! This would not have been possible and more difficult if we did not have a CEA scholarship.

What does a Catholic education mean to you and your family?

I come from two nationalities, Anglo and Native American. In our household I am learning both religions and beliefs (Catholic and Tradition) which helps me to broaden my knowledge, and it helps that I’m going to school with kids my age.

Why is this opportunity important to you?

It’s just a better education. At the time of selecting middle school, my previous school only went up to the 6th grade. When selecting new school for myself, my mother put a list of nearby schools and what they had to offer me. The selections were based on credibility, curriculum, and academics. I chose the opportunity to attend a school that had a better academic credibility. SMIS had more clubs, more sports, after school activities, with tutoring provided. I am there to get a better education.

How would you thank those that have helped make your education possible through their state tax dollars and encourage them to continue to support Catholic Education Arizona?

First of all, thank you and many blessings. Your support will not go unnoticed. Thank you to those that made my child’s education possible. My child is the first in our family to attend a private school and it would have been with great difficulty without the support of the CEA scholarship. By having this opportunity, you have provided us security in my child’s education. Please continue to support CEA to better educate our youth.
